<image:title>Home - Since the effects of my injuries are in constant ebb and flow, my practice changes constantly. Some days I struggle with strength, flexibility and depth, but on others I’m able to achieve a fuller expression more comfortably. I find this really helps me to teach with compassion and I love how it keeps me deeply connected with my body. I can start class confidently thinking “I’m gonna boss this one today” and find myself falling all over the place. Equally, there are times that I want to hide in a dark corner knowing it’s about to be very messy and BOOM, my alignment is great, my focus superb and I’m holding Standing Head to Knee. Who knew? Yoga did. That’s who.</image:title>

<image:title>Home - I am most interested in finding stillness, focus, and attention to detail in my practice as it is in the stillness that we learn the most about ourselves. The stillness and focus we achieve in the hot room (when we can be unbothered by the sweat, the heat, the teacher’s voice) helps us face life’s vicissitudes with equanimity and grace outside the room. Of course, it’s easier said than done. And every single class is different. The most we can expect of ourselves, ever, when stepping into the studio is to meet ourselves with the body we brought into class at that time, on that day. It was different this morning, it’ll be different again tomorrow.</image:title>
